Paradise Forklift Parts - Paradise (population 223,167) is an unincorporated town in the Las Vegas metropolitan area in Nevada. The city of Paradise is governed by the Clark County Commission along with the Paradise Town Advisory Board.

The many tourists which visit the region might not be aware that they are really in Paradise and not inside Las Vegas itself. The majority of the Las Vegas Strip is situated within Paradise, including several of the popular hotels like for instance Caesars Palace and the Palms. The city of Paradise is also where University of Nevada, the MGM Grand and McCarran International Airport are located. Paradise remains somewhat unknown since the Postal Service of the United States has assigned "Las Vegas, NV" as the place name used for ZIP codes within Paradise. "Paradise, NV" never appears in postal addresses. If the city of Paradise were an incorporated city, it will be amongst the largest within the state.

During 1950, the unincorporated town of Paradise was voted in by the Clark County commission. Ernie Cragin, the mayor of Las Vegas at that time had tried unsuccessfully to expand the tax base of the city by trying to push for the annexation of the Las Vegas Strip. Ernie Cragin needed money to pay down the rising debt of Paradise and fund a development plan. A group of Strip casino executives successfully lobbied the county for township status to prevent the city of Las Vegas from annexing the land. Ever since then the county commission has continued to preserve its authority by limiting the expansion of Las Vegas.

Roughly three quarters of the population of Nevada reside within Clark County. The county supports nearly 2 million residents. The Nevada Legislature formed the county in the year 1909. The Las Vegas Valley, a 1,600 km2 basin, includes the unincorporated community of Paradise and the city of Las Vegas. Before Nevada became a state, much of the area was part of Pah-Ute County, Arizona Territory. Clark County was named for William Andrews Clark, a US senator, who was primarily responsible for routing the Salt Lake and Los Angeles Railroad through the region. The railroad significantly boosted growth within the area.
