Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was established in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They started out as a small machine shop initially employing four individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation totaled sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Within five years of operation, the company had expanded to forty workers and their annual sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is among the leading worldwide manufacturers within the material handling business.

Design and manufacturing of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this young company to aggressively engage in better business opportunities. All through the final sixty years, the industry of material handling has developed into a very sophisticated area with Cascade proudly playing a part in its development. Cascade presently continues to grow as the best provider of lift truck attachments and numerous associated products. The company feels assured in their potential in order to continue to lead the way within the business by understanding customer's requirements in the future and remaining competitive in the international market.

In the 1950's, Cascade began designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Manufacturing was done in the year 1956 on a brand new office so as to house all plant and office operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's current center of operations. After 15 years of business, total staff reached a hundred and eighty staff and sales had reached nearly 2.3 million dollars.

1959 in Springfield, Ohio the next manufacturing facility was built. 1960 marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry as the business recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The business changed its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the U.S. with places in Springfield, Ohio, Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon. Cascade merchandise are fabricated internationally due to many subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and the year 1997 after acquiring five firms, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the international leader in forks.
